Gears of War 3
Gears of War 3 is the most refine third-person shooter experience. It is faster, more fun, harder hitting than the first two games, and is better than all the other third-person shooters. Not only is it the best the series has ever been, but it is the best the cover-based games have ever been.
Every third-person shooter from now and on-wards will be judged against Gears of War 3.

I would have liked to see more results from the reader poll, such as a list of all the runners up in order. Otherwise, this is a great list, and I can definitely agree with you on a lot of the choices you’ve made.
Also, a tip: I might suggest putting one of the awards on the first page of the post, this will act as a way to draw readers in, and inform them that there are more pages within the post (I almost didn’t find the extra pages, myself).
The Last of Us is my most anticipated game of 2012.
