2011’s outdatedreviews Game of the Year Awards!!!

A lot of great games came out last year. Shooter fans sat nestled in their dens getting in some personal time with the latest iteration of the blockbuster Call of Duty franchise. Fantasy lovers spent countless hour roaming through all of upper Tamriel in the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. But if neither of those games grabbed you there were plenty of others grabbing. Uncharted 3, Skyward Sword, Portal 2, Gears of War 3, and those are only a few of the vast amount of games released in 2011.

So no matter if you liked Battlefield more than Call of Duty, you really can’t argue that 2011 was an amazing year for gamers.

But something we can argue about…What the best game of the year was.

So here it goes: the 2011 outdatedreviews Game of the Year awards. Read the rest of this entry

In a nutshell: Skyrim (2011) PS3 version.

Welcome to the first edition of “In a nutshell.” This is what I will post if I don’t have time to write a full-length review, or maybe the game just doesn’t warrant a full review. But what this essentially is, is a smaller review format.

To whoever is reading this (yes I’m talking to the one person who reads my blog) I apologize for not writing more these past few months. Read the rest of this entry

November. Will it be the longest month of my life?

I know I haven’t posted all that much in the recent past. And because of that I feel sorry, but you might want to get used to it.

I am working my way through Dark Souls and will hopefully have a review in the near(ish) future. But after that who knows what will happen. You might be wondering way I won’t have as much coming up, and so I’ll tell you.

Next month I will be doing NaNoWriMo. What that means is that during the month of November I have to write a 50,000 word novel, and alongside of doing so I will still be playing games. And some of the games will be MASSIVE, and will take a lot of time. And I would like to write review for the games I’ll be playing, but I might not be able to get to that until December.

Hopefully by the end of November I will still have my sanity.

As always, thanks for reading.
