2011’s outdatedreviews Game of the Year Awards!!!

I love me some single player experiences, but every once in while I just want to go out in the wild and crack some skulls.

And so the Best Multiplayer in a game goes to…

Mortal Kombat

Playing Mortal Kombat alone can be fun, but if that is all you got the game for you’re missing the point. Whether you play online, or offline the game is intense, gory, and a blast to play.

Admittedly it is more fun to play when you’re in the same room as your opponent, winning a match with a “Fatality” online is still time well spent.

And if you really want to test a friendship try playing four-player tag team matches.

Runners Up:

Gears of War 3

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception

  1. I would have liked to see more results from the reader poll, such as a list of all the runners up in order. Otherwise, this is a great list, and I can definitely agree with you on a lot of the choices you’ve made.

Also, a tip: I might suggest putting one of the awards on the first page of the post, this will act as a way to draw readers in, and inform them that there are more pages within the post (I almost didn’t find the extra pages, myself).

  2. The Last of Us is my most anticipated game of 2012.
