Gears of War 3 (2011), video game review.

In 2007 if you had asked me what my favorite video game was I probably would have said some Nintendo game or an early Playstation game. Fast forward to winter of 2008 and the only game I was playing was Gears of War 2, where I had racked up over a thousand rounds of multiplayer…offline. So naturally since Gears 3 came out earlier this week it has completely consumed my life.

Gears of War 3 may well be the greatest third-person shooter to come out on any system, let alone the Xbox 360. Packed with a ton of great modes, including the new four-player campaign and Beast mode, there’s a lot to love in Gears 3. And even if it was the same old game as the last one, only reskinned, I’d probably still have the same amount of playtime. But luckily…its much much more. Read the rest of this entry

Dead Space 2 (2011), video game review.

Twinkle twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are… Never I may life did I imagine that this song would scare me. But the good folks over at Visceral Games did just that…and more. Dead Space 2 is the scarcest thing I’ve encountered since childhood terrors. Read the rest of this entry

inFamous 2 (2011), video game review.

For this review I am trying a different format. Instead of an introduction and then the “Good and The Bad” section it is now just one big thing, followed by a brief overview. I did change the wording a tiny bit in the overview section. Please leave some comments on this post and others about how you liked them (or didn’t), and any other thoughts.

For those of you who are reading this and are not familiar with Cole McGrath, and the inFamous universe, first off, go read my review for the first game.
