2011’s outdatedreviews Game of the Year Awards!!!

A lot of great games came out last year. Shooter fans sat nestled in their dens getting in some personal time with the latest iteration of the blockbuster Call of Duty franchise. Fantasy lovers spent countless hour roaming through all of upper Tamriel in the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. But if neither of those games grabbed you there were plenty of others grabbing. Uncharted 3, Skyward Sword, Portal 2, Gears of War 3, and those are only a few of the vast amount of games released in 2011.

So no matter if you liked Battlefield more than Call of Duty, you really can’t argue that 2011 was an amazing year for gamers.

But something we can argue about…What the best game of the year was.

Mortal Kombat (2011), video game review.

Blood splatters the screen, arms are pulled off and then used as weapons of death, and heads lay about on the ground. Mortal Kombat has been called one of the most violent games of all time. With fatalities such as, death from all of your skin being pulled off you on two different sides–that claim may be accurate. But is it all just guts and gore, or is there a good game beneath?
